It has come to the knowledge of Abia State Independent Electoral Commission that some person(s) who do not have the mandate of the Commission have been issuing fake bank account numbers to unsuspecting/intending candidates of the forthcoming Local Government Elections with a view to defrauding them.
For avoidance of doubt ABSIEC hereby informs all Political Parties and candidates wishing to participate in the said 18th December, 2020 Election that account details and mode of payment of accrued ABSIEC charges should only be obtained from the Accounts Department of the Commission.
Anybody dealing with any other person(s) outside the Commission’s Account Department does so at his or her own risk.
