Onyendilefu hands over to Mrs Nwanju… extols Gov. Ikpeazu’ s Magnanity .

It was quite an emotional moment as the outgoing Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Chief Gabriel Chinenye Onyendilefu formally handed over to the Permanent Secretary Mrs Joy Nwanju.

In his speech Chief Onyendilefu thanked the Executive Governor of Abia State for given him the opportunity to serve as one of the Commissioners. He also thanked the Permanent Secretary and the staff of the Ministry for their support, corporation and loyalty while he served as the Commissioner of the Ministry.He however acknowledged that in the cause of discharging his duties he may have stepped on some toes hence he appologised to them and stressed he has also forgiven those that offended him. He encouraged the staff to extend their support and cooperation to the Permanent Secretary stressing that the Ministry is big one.

In his vote of thanks,the Director of Chieftaincy Affairs Mr Ngozi Damian, on behalf of the Management staff, thanked the commissioner for his sense of duty and fatherly guidance while overseeing the affairs of the Ministry and prayed God to bless his future endeavours.

The brief ceremony was witnessed by the Director of Finance Mrs Chinasa Obobi and other Directors of the Ministry.
