Alleged 750,000 Allowance: Umuahia North LGA Councillors Exonerate Chairman
Councillors of Umuahia North LGA has exonerated the local government chairman Hon Ugochukwu Njikonye on the alleged mismanaged allowance of the councillors noting that there was no such thing.
The councillors who interacted with our correspondent expressed displeasure on the news making round on the innocent chairman who has shown them good romance despite the little time all of them has been together.
According to them, “there was nothing like 750,000 naira allowance, our allowance was 700,000 naira ” they said. And urged rumour peddlers to trade with care as the present legislative house will not tolerate any such falsehood against the council boss or any colleagues of theirs.
The councillors stated that they are intact and will remain one indivisible house.
They used the medium to advice staff of the council to channel their energy on more productive things rather than trading on falsehood.
