ONLINE MEDIA RELEASE
6 May, 2021|18:00Hrs
The attention of the Union has been drawn to the abduction of some students of the Abia State University and some yet to be identified passengers on the Okigwe – Uturu road, yesterday by some unknown persons.
While we await the identification of the victims by the police, the Union is using this opportunity to advise all Ohuhu parents and guardians who have wards at ABSU, to check with their wards and to also notify the Union where there is suspicion of an Ohuhu indigene, being among the abducted.
All Ohuhu students who are presently within the school environment are advised to stay at safe places and to avoid unnecessary movements, while those who are resident off campus from home and within Okigwe and its environs are advised to stay at home if they have no pressing academic engagements.
The Union is closely monitoing this development, while praying that no Ohuhu indigene will be a victim of this ugly incident.
God bless, Ohuhu Nation.
Uzo Ogbonna,
Publicity Secretary.
