ANNOUNCEMENT
The monthly sanitation exercise in the State for the month of May holds between the hours of 7am and 9am.
A release signed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Environment Iheanyichukwu Ubani says movement of people and vehicles during the period shall be restricted except for those on essential duties who would be required to present on demand, valid identification or any authentic authorization for such exemption.
The release directs Chairmen of all the Local Government Councils, Traditional rulers, Town Union Leaders, Religious Leaders, Youth and women Organizations to monitor and sensitize their people on the importance of the exercise and to participate as well.
According to the release, all markets, motor parks, private and public transport companies as well as business premises are to remain closed tomorrow between the hours of 7am and 9am to carryout their own clean up exercise.
It further directs the Nigerian police, Federal Rod Safety Corps, the igerian Security and Civil Defence Corps to assemble at their usual places of takeoff for deployment.
The Release further made it clear that people are to stay at home and participate in the exercise for the period.
