Father of Four Children Who Died After Eating Suya With Juice Has Called on Abia State Govt, Good Spirited Individuals to Assist Him Offset Mortuary Bills of The Late Children

Father of the four children who were among the seven Persons confirmed dead after eating suya with juice in Umueze Umuahia North LGA, Abia State Mr Chibuzo Ikwunze has called on the State Government, philanthropists and well meaning Nigerians to come to his aid to enable him offset the mortuary bills of his late children.

Narrating the ordeal to Newsmen today at his country home, Umukonu Umuagu Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA, Mr Chibuzo Ikwunze, said his old friend Late Mr Sunday Ogba, who hails from Apañu Item, Bende LGA, requested him to bring his four children at his residence in Umueze Umuahia for a holiday last two weeks Friday just as they do frequently.

Mr Ikwunze said having known his friend Mr Sunday Ogba since the past 20 years because they lived together at number 17 Ozuitem street extension before Mr Ogba built his own house at Umueze in Umuahia did as he requested.

According to Mr Ikwunze, the late Mr Sunday Ogba, on 24th August last month being Tuesday, bought the suya at Ubakala by Okigwe road Umuahia including the fruit juice suspected to have been poisoned from where all the family members, including his only four children who came for holidays ate and started throwing up which later led to their death on 25th of August being Wednesday last week

Mr Ikwunze said only the Wife of his friend Mrs Ogba Jessey, and their daughter survived the incident
