REMAIN RESOLUTE AND DEDICATED AT ALL TIMES – GOC URGE GRADUANDS OF COMMAND
The General Officer Commanding 82 Division Nigerian Army Major General TA Lagbaja represented by Commander 14 Brigade Brigadier General MB Wabili, has enjoined graduands of Command Secondary School Ohafia to remain resolute and dedicated as they start their chosen career. He stated this during the 9th Speech and Prize Giving Day/Valedictory ceremony for 2020/2021 session on 9 October 2021 at the school auditorium.
He reiterates that they should ensure they use what they have learnt in the school judiciously to become great leaders of our nation Nigeria that the school will reckon with in the nearest future. Adding that he is proud of the graduands based on the records and standards the school has put in place.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Commandant of the school, Major MK Liman urged the graduands to keep the flag flying high as the citadel of learning is known for academic excellence.
In his words, “today is a unique day dedicated to appraise and reflect on the activities of the school as well as to reward students and staff that have distinguished themselves towards achieving the school set goals”.
The Commandant stated that discipline, academics and moral standards will not be compromised by any standards as that will continue to be the school priority and focus in molding our future leaders.
In her valedictory speech, Dr Justina Ikpenwa enjoined the graduands to apply for courses with job security and not to depend solely on white kola job, eschew bad companies and cultism. Reiterating the need for them to be optimistic in all they do.
The Chairman of the occasion Honourable Chief Dennis Okorie led dignitaries to the unveiling and launching of the school magazine “The Lagacy” which is an annual publication of the school.
The event was glamoured with presentation of awards to deserving students and staff who distinguished themselves in various field. It was attended by students, staff, parents, traditional rulers, guests from all walks of life.
