Out of these Bills, four of them were passed by the Senate and signed into laws by then President Olusegun Obasanjo.

One of the Bills formally established the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and an autonomous body, while others were passed by the Senate after a clause-by-clause consideration received the concurrence of the House of Representatives before being signed into law by the President.
