The All Progressives Congress, APC, will produce a candidate that will win the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial seat in the 2023 general election, a former Deputy Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and APC Chieftain, Hon Uwem Udoma has said.
Speaking during a new year get together party organized by the Abak LGA Chapter of the APC which he hosted on Sunday 23rd January, 2022, Hon Udoma said as far as the 2023 polls is concerned, the APC is ready to slug it out with any other political party, promising that the party’s victory especially in the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial seat in 2023 will be synonymous with the Biblical small David versus the giant Goliath episode.
He condemned what he called undemocratic adoption and endorsement by the PDP, saying all aspirants in all political parties should be allowed to aspire to any office without any unnecessary and undemocratic impediment.
In reference to the Senate seat, the APC in Abak said while the race is open to all eligible aspirants as anybody from anywhere in the Senatorial District is free to aspire, particular reference will be made to Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency in the 2023 elections for the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial seat so as to ensure justice, equity and fairness because they are the only federal constituency in the Senatorial District that has not have a shot at the Red Chambers, assuring that the APC is the party to beat and the outcome of the election will shock many in the state and beyond.
Hon Udoma also assured that the APC will present credible candidates for the Presidential, Governorship and all the federal Constituency and House of Assembly seats in the Senatorial District, as the party is now more united, strong and determined to give the ruling party a run for its money.
The Abak APC new year parley was attended by numerous party faithfuls including, Rev. Dr. Innocent Idiong, Mr. Nkereuwem, Ebong former chairmen of Abak Council, Hon. Bishop D. D. Obot, former member, AKHA, Dr. Kopimo Ezekiel, former Secretary of Abak Council, Barr. Victor Nkanang, Barr. Imoh Imoh, and a host of other Chapter and Wards officers of the party.
