GOVERNOR IKPEAZU APPROVES THAT SAM HART PROCEED TO KURU FOR COURSE.
Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has given approval for the Director-General of the Abia State Marketing and Quality Management Agency, Mr. Sam Hart to proceed to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State where he was nominated as a Participant of the Policy, Strategy and Leadership Course (PSLC) Cohort 43 of the Institute.
Mr. Hart was nominated to attend the program by the Princeton Leadership Forum, an organisation dedicated to identifying emerging young leaders in Nigeria and equipping them with the capacity for the leadership challenges ahead.
The Princeton Leadership Forum, in their letter of nomination to Mr. Hart, signed by the President, Dr. Chibuike Echem, noted that they had observed his exceptional work promoting patronage of indigenous products in Abia State and Nigeria as a whole under the leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his consistency as a role model for emerging leaders in Abia State and Nigeria.
Admission to programs at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies are strictly by nominations by accredited organisations which go through a rigorous vetting process.
The National Institute, founded in 1979, is the premier and pre-eminent Policy and Strategic Studies Citadel in Nigeria and Africa. Nominees for the PSLC are usually drawn from the Senior Officer Cadre of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Police, Paramilitary Agencies, Senior Management in the Federal and State Public Sector, Labour Associations and accredited Civil Society Organisations.
Mr. Hart holds a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) and is currently, a Ph.D Candidate in Law. He is a highly experienced Public Servant who has held Senior Management positions over the last 20 years.
A 2021 Acumen Fellow and Bloxhub Urban Resilience Champion, widely travelled and with a burning passion for self-development, he has acquired certificates and fellowships from major local and global institutions including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Project Management Institute, New York Mentoring Institute, Lagos Business School, among many others.
He is a member of a number of leading professional bodies locally and internationally and sits on the Boards of a number of local and international as well as Federal and State Governmental, Private Sector and non-profit Working Groups and Committees.
He is married with children.
While thanking Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the opportunity, Mr. Hart has promised to apply himself to the course and return with renewed vigour and experience to serve Abia State better.
Mr. Hart has resumed at the Institute.
