Ohuhu Traditional Rulers Distance Self From Visit Made by The 7 traditional Rulers, Described Such Move As Selfish
Ohuhu traditional rulers has distanced themselves from the movement made by some traditional rulers from the clan adding that it is never the stand of the royal father’s.
In a communique signed by the notable Eze’s, states that their attention was drown to a visit of 7 traditional rulers out of the 27 traditional rulers in Ohuhu extraction to government house umuahia.
Adding that it is in this light that they, after deliberating on the actions and statement by the group of 7 traditional rulers came up with the following:
That they as the body Ohuhu council of traditional rulers have not at any time discussed nor agreed on the zoning of the governorship position to any section of the state, adding that such a sensitive political matter is not their responsibility.
The Eze’ in their communique further reads that the 7 traditional rulers embarked on such a visit to the governor for their selfish interest and not for the collective interest of the council nor the larger interest of Ndi Ohuhu.
The traditional rulers used the medium to commend governor Ikpeazu for his stand not to allow the quest for his successor to divide the state and to ensure that the process leading to the emergence of his successor shall be devoid of premodial ethnic consideration.
