OHUHU JOINT LEADERSHIP MEETING
This is a communiqué released at a crucial meeting held at Afugiri Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA on Tuesday 22nd March, 2022 with leaders of different organizations in Ohuhu being fully represented, hereby declares as follows;
That the seven Ohuhu Traditional Rulers who met with the Executive Governor of Abia State did not represent the totality of Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers and Ohuhu people in general;
That Ndi Ohuhu completely disassociates themselves from the disgraceful and disappointing statements made by a group of seven Traditional Rulers led by one Eze, Nnamdi Everest Ofoegbu during their visit to the Executive Governor of Abia state in recent time;
That Ndi Ohuhu considers that visit and their statements as unacceptable, disappointing, disgraceful, and at variance with the position of Ndi Ohuhu;
That the antecedent of the team justifies their scam;
That their disclosed positions were personal and a figment of their imagination;
Therefore, their claims that Ukwa/Ngwa should go for Governorship for another eight years to balance the Sixteen years taken by Old Bende is unacceptable and lacks merit;
Ndi Ohuhu demands that the seven Traditional Rulers should with immediate effect retract their statements and apologize to Ndi Ohuhu;
Therefore, we pass a Vote of No Confidence on the leadership of Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers in the person of One Eze, Nnamdi Everest Ofoegbu and call for his immediate removal from office, else we shall no longer recognize and acknowledge further activities of Ndi Eze Ohuhu;
Finally, we will advice the affected Autonomous Communities to recall these Traditional Rulers if they refuse to accede to our demands
