2023 IKWUANO/UMUAHIA FEDERAL REP:
Taking Ndi ohuhu back to history lane to raise, defend and lobby to take what is rightful hers.PART 1

Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency is made up of three LGAs namely, Umuahia north, Umuahia south and Ikwuano.
Spirit of equity, justice, brotherhood and fairness demands that there should be equality in areas of power sharing.
It will be politically incorrect, unjust and a distortion of political equilibrium if the process of power sharing amongst the three LGAs/clans is distorted to favour a particular set/clan.
There is need for balance of power and responsibility between the people.
It is a well known fact that Since 1999, the three LGAs has had an unwritten agreement on their representative pattern in the national assembly but there are exceptions to that agreement especially in PDP.
Since the coming of the 3rd republic in 1999, the movement has been thus:
1999-2003: Honourable Iheanacho Obioma ( Chomen ) from Umuahia south taking the first shot.
Between.2003-2007, it moved to Ikwuano and Hon.Emeka Atuma took their turn followed by Hon.
Stanley Ohajiriuka(ibeku) 2007-2011 who got the privilege of representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency when it became the turn of Umuahia north.
Upon the completion of the first phase of the rotational cycle which saw the three local governments taking a turn of four years each at the green chambers to represent Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency.
In 2011, a new sequence which took
off with Hon. Udo Oluchi Ibeji, from
Umuahia south doing a four year term that terminated in 2015.
2015-date, Hon. Sam Onuigbo, from
Ikwuano is manning the Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency seat at the national assembly.
Come 2019, the table is shifted back to Umuahia north but THE ISSUE WAS THAT UMUAHIA NORTH IS ALREADY HOLDING THE SENATORIAL POSITION AND IT BECAME OBVIOUS THE INCUMBENT SENATOR T A ORJI(ibeku) WAS RETUNING A SECOND TERM AND WOULD WIN.
IT BECAME IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE THE SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPS ALL COMING FROM UMUAHIA NORTH AT THE SAME TIME.
NOTE: Umuahia north is one LGA that has two brother clans of Ibeku and Ohuhu and both shares political offices in turns, Ibeku having taken their turn in 2007-2011 with Hon Stanley Ohajiriuka, 2019 was the undeniable right of the Ohuhu clan to take their’s so as to complete the cycle but because of the “onuru ube nwa nne spirit of ohuhu” ohuhu supported Ndi ibeku to take her turn in 2019 to wait for 2023.
