Inside Abia: Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers Bless Mayor Lucky Igbokwe Ahead of Party Primaries

A Guber aspirant in the Peoples Democratic party, Chief Lucky Igbokwe, has received the blessings of the Ohuhu Umuahia traditional rulers ahead of the party’s primary election.
The traditional rulers led by Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, pronounced their blessings on Igbokwe, who went to  seek for their royal blessings on Tuesday.
Ofoegbu, assured him that the traditional institution in Ohuhu land will play their own roles to help him succeed in his aspirations.
Earlier in his remarks, Igbokwe, told the traditional rulers that he joined the race to seek for progress of the state.
He vowed that if given the opportunity to lead the state,he will reduce the burden of Abia people by providing free education, free maternity services.
He said, “Abia State is God’s own state and our own state too, our prayer is that anybody that has the interest of the state from education, industry, Agriculture, road infrastructure, will have our support to lead the state and I believe I’m the person.
“I understand that the traditional institution and the government has an agreement, we will ensure that our government keep to the agreement for you all to live for us. 
“I will ensure that what belongs to you will get to you, it will not effect government projects.
“I will build hospital and give health insurance for traditional rulers from the age of 55 years.
“I have bought the nomination form to contest for the office of the executive Governor of Abia State under the PDP.
“This is the time for the youths, its youth clock and we are asking our elders to give us the opportunity to show what we can do for our state. I will be obedient to you all and perform my duties adequately well.That is why we came to receive your Royal blessings as we are set to commence our Local Government consultations”.
