Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture Chief Okey Ihedioha Storm Ulonna Farm Settlement, Promise to Tackle Poor Road Network, Other Amenities
Key players in the ministry of agriculture led by the permanent secretary Chief Okey Ihedioha have charged the users of ulonna farm settlement to play their part in ensuring the areas is kept.
Chief Ihedioha who stated this as he took other staff of the ministry to confirm the state of the settlement. According to him, “Government will assume a cardinal role in the ongoing efforts aimed at grading the needed road network within the place” he said.
The permanent secretary frowned at the neglect on that palm plantation and other mineral resources, noting that a lots need to done for the ministry to benefit therein.
Welcoming the team from agriculture ministry, youth president Ohuhu Welfare Union and his afugiri counter part comrade Augustine Onwubiko thanked the permanent secretary for making out to come stressed that he is the third personality that has visited the area, adding that he needs to explore his political sagacity with that of the commissioner at the centre to prevail on the state government to urgently address the basic factors militating against the optimum utilisation of the farm settlement, especially grading, poor access road and other amenities.

Chief Okey Ihedioha assured that a fora will be made open to enable relevant players in the sector to deliberate and explore viable options to surmount the peculiar challenges in a bid to boost economic activities at the place, while advising beneficiaries of the palm produce to make sure the bushes are cleared at least once a year for the safety of the people operating around the environment.
He posited that under his watch as the permanent secretary ministry of agriculture, he will be practical in realizing modalities to help set rolling actions starting from Tuesday as they will be meeting with relevant stakeholders to Forester a new and clean page going forward, while maximising the strategic geographical location of the settlement.
