It is crystal clear that nothing of greatness can be achieved by any nation without giving adequate importance to their youth. No country can attain the height of success without empowering her youths. This is because the youth clearly reflect the positive and negative picture of any society and their inventiveness, energies, characters and orientations define the pace of development and security of a nation. Leaders that desire national growth must not neglect to empower the youths that are the hope of the future and the actual strength of the nation.
Professor Hilary Odo Edeoga has empowered thousands of Nigerian youths through employment creation. In August 2011, Prof. HO. Edeoga received an award by National Association of South East Students (NASE)-Certificate of Merit Award as life patron in appreciation of his contributions towards Educational Development and Youth Empowerment in the South East. This is one of the evidence of huge impacts of Prof. HO. Edeoga in ensuring that Nigerian youths are empowered to promote national security, facilitate poverty eradication, ensure crime reduction and good governance. It shows that giving more opportunities, Prof. HO. Edeoga will do more for Nigerian youths and Enugu youths in a larger measure.

This is reflected in the continued peace and stability in the State. It is important that the next governor of Enugu State should be someone that will stand on the shoulders of Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi and champion the prosperity of Enugu State. The antecedents of Prof. HO. Edeoga remains a reliable and verifiable evidence as the most competent man to take the baton from Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi. With Prof. HO.
