HIGH CHIEF RAYMOND ONYINYECHI OFOEGBU HAVE NO INTENT TO DUMP PDP FOR THE MALICIOUS ACT OF SOME SELFISH PARTY STALWART, STOMACH MANUFACTURE RETURNING OFFICER.
High Chief Raymond Ofoegbu is a dogged , staunch member of PDP , have no intent to dump the party for any reason . he is not a desperate Politican ,he is on the race of Ohuhu Umuahia North state Constituency to answer the clarion call of the good people of Ohuhu to give them quality representation through Ohuhu revival Project agenda.
High Chief Raymond Ofoegbu is a civilized and contemporary leader that have offered his 17yeras of service to Nigeria as a security personnel , therefore remain a law abiding citizens that knows his Constitutional right and the appropriate quater to seek redress of any infringement of his right as member of a Politicial party and a citizen in a democratic setting.
It is imperative to set the record straight . The People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) election was held on 22May, 2022 at Williams memorial Secondary school Afugri , a free , fair , credible election where the ad-hoc delegates of the party made a cardinal decision that emerged High Chief Raymond Ofoegbu as the flagbearer of the party , Ohuhu Umuahia North state Constituency , as he scored 13votes out of the total vaild votes cast.
The inept returning officer Mr Onyeike Young came up with an intoxicated, malicious tale that he forgot the result sheet to write and declared him the winner , with a bid to manipulate the result which he succeeded and manipulated the result and declared Mr Ugochukwu Ezeocha the winner outside the venue of the election.
The Nigeria Electoral Act remain explicit . INEC has no power to reject names sent by Politicial parties because primary election is the prerogative of the party to conduct primary election in accordance to their principles but to be monitored by INEC.
INEC merely received their names from the parties as stipulated in sec. 29(1) of the electoral Act.
That does not automatically mean acceptance .the name summited by the party are interim . Sec.29(3) an aggrieved candidate can seek redress on petition of his/ her party to the court.
Wole soyinka said:” for me justice is the first condition of humanity ” therefore high chief Raymond Ofoegbu have confidence on the electoral Act and the judiciary to regain his stolen mandate for the betterment of the party and Ohuhu Umuahia North state Constituency.
