THE MISSIONARY WITH THE GOSPEL OF RESTORING OHUHU’S FAST DEPLETING LEGISLATVE RELEVANCE
For some time now,Ohuhu’s political subservience in the last legislatve chamber has been a source of embarrassment to the discerning minds among us.
Ohuhu has repeatedly thronged the altars of our rivals for political anointment.By extension,if the few oligarchs across the divide sneezed,we at Ohuhu yonder caught the flu.
Unfortunately, Ohuhu’s political development is being discussed and settled by selfish, parochial-minded political buccaneers from the other geographical divide.
What a shameful scenario!
Nicholas Ray quoted thus,”There is no formula for success,but there’s a formula for failure- trying to please everyone.”
Ohuhu as a people have strived to please their political overlords from the other divide for too long hence Ohuhu has never made appreciable impact in the legislatve parlance.
They have sacrificed trust, independence and self-assertion on the altar of naivety,misplaced priority and shared but flourishing hatred.
However,Ohuhu people have no other option than to pool their eggs in one basket and hand it over to Hon Ugochukwu Ikpo for safe legislatve delivery.
Hon Ugochukwu Ikpo has never disguised his disdain for lacklustre, legislative under representation and the lingering, primordial marginalization of Ohuhu man and woman.To him the collective Ohuhu enterprise is sacrosanct.
To him,Ohuhu people have the capacity in men and resources to assert our legislative relevance in the scheme of things.
As it stands now,Ohuhu people have never been so divided as a result of discordant tunes from people who were yet to come in terms with what we desire as strategic stakeholders in ABHA.
Hon Ugochukwu Ikpo remains the hope for Ohuhu’s new legislatve advancement.
What Ohuhu needed at the moment is politics of ‘strategy and synergy’ to reclaim our lost grounds in Abia’s mainstream politics.
We are as Ohuhu people are being summoned to disagree with Molly Haskell who said on quote,”The thought that we’re enduring the unendurable is one of the things that keep us going”
To Hon Ugochukwu Ikpo,Ohuhu people have had enough of legislative deficits and will refuse to keep on enduring.
Rather,it is time to wake up from our inertia and comfort zone and embrace in it’s totality, the new deal which Hon Ugochukwu Ikpo is offering his people.
It’s a date with destiny to make Ohuhu relevant in ABHA once again.
Hon Ugochukwu Ikpo has the formula to put Ohuhu in the legislative compass once again.
