For the umpteenth time, House of Assembly candidate of the Action people’s Party (APP) in Umuahia North State Constituency, Chris Akachi Nwa Abia has emphasized on the need for a deliberate and strategic support for entrepreneurs as a sure means of creating more jobs, youth engagement, furthering peace and security in the state and beyond.

Speaking at the commissioning of a multi-billion bik hatchery and shopping mall in Abuja, Nwa Abia noted that supporting entrepreneurships either as small or medium scale enterprises remains the best way of boosting the economy of the state and elevating the people.

Chris Akachi Nwa Abia who was the special guest of honour at the occasion, alluded to the development matrix of Singapore’s first Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew who according to him, transformed Singapore from one of the poorest countries in the world in the 1960s to a developed country with a thriving economy.

He maintained that Nigeria has all it takes to achieve great economic strides especially with the infrastructural renaissance currently going on in the states like south east.

According to him, “we can do it, Abia state has what it takes, this government more than any other, has built on successive administrations, it has built infrastructure, opened the state through the three economic gateways- and what is left is to connect the dots and translate the infrastructure to economic gains through creating the enabling environment and supporting small and medium scale businesses.”
