THE PEOPLE OF IHITE UDE,OFEME ASSURES NWA-ABIA OF THEIR SUPPORT AS HE STORMS COMMUNITY
The people of Ihite Ude -Ofeme has assured the candidate of the Action People’s Party (APP) for Umuahia-North State Constituency ( Ohuhu) High -Chief Chris Akachukwu (Nwa-Abia) of their total support and votes.
The leaders and members of the community declared total support for Nwa-Abia at Ihite Ude -Ofeme town hall on Thursday 12th January,2022 when he stormed the community with his team.
The community decried the level of underdevelopment in their land manifested in form of lack of critical infrastructures such as access roads,health care and high rate of unemployment among graduates of the community.
The community leaders cited the deplorable state of the hall they hosted the house of assembly hopeful as a case of reference.
The adduced that the hall was used as a campaign tool by the then legislator in 2007-2015 ,and was also used by the incumbent lawmaker in 2015 and during his re-election bid in 2019 .
They lamented that the community was abandoned immediately after elections and for the past 16 years and even since the return to democratic rule in 1999 the people have not benefitted any dividend of democracy.
The community declared that ,this time around they won’t vote party but individuals. ” We have decided to follow and vote for Nwa-Abia due to his track record of performance and sincerity.We know you will not forget the people of Ihite Ude-Ofeme when elected”, they stated .
Nwa-Abia in his speech assured the community of his commitment to fastrack developmental intiatives to Ihite Ude-Ofeme and Ohuhuland land in general.
He reiterated his resolve to mortgage all benefits and allowances that will accrue to him as a legislator throughout his tenure for the development of Ohuhuland.
He called on the community not to trade their votes but vote for leaders with track record and sincerity of purpose.
He thanked them for adopting him and assured them that, he does not take the confidence reposed on him for granted.” Ohuhuland will experience unprecedented development under my representation when elected”,he concluded.
