As a member of Abia State House of Assembly that of which he later grew to the highest office of the Speaker, he was able to work effectively with others, including those from different political parties and backgrounds, in order to achieve common goals. He worked in such a way that his regime was said to be the best in the history of Abia State, this won for him different awards both local and national, such as, The Sun Public Service Award 2020, Champion Newspaper Awards of Most Outstanding Speaker of the Year 2021, and other awards too numerous to mention. No candidate of other political parties has such experience nor the collaborative qualities.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE:
Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji is very knowledgeable in legislative procedures and dealings. He has the necessary expertise to make informed decisions. According to Champion Newspaper, “Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, as Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, has built an enviable reputation spanning over many years of unblemished record of performance especially in the legislative arm of government where his track record of quality representation, collaboration and synergy with the executive arm have culminated in a harmonious bond among the executive, legislative and judiciary in Abia State”. COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE:
Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has shown great zeal of dedication to serving the public and working to improve the lives of his Constituency, he single handedly, on his personal capacity has constructed nine mini-stadium across his constituency in order to discover talents among youths, and beyond, The stadia which are at different levels of construction are located in Isieke community, St. Stephen’s Primary School, Umuahia, Ezeleke Community Primary School, Umuopara, Ubakala community, Ikwuano community, Olokoro, Ohuhu and two other communities in view. Apart from his annual scholarship award for education and annual free medical care to people of his Constituency he has embarked on Agricultural projects such as women Garri processing industry in Ofeme Ohuhu, he has equally dug uncountable pipe borne water projects in so many communities within and outside his Constituency, just last December Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has created 14 new roads and graded existing but grossly dilapidated ones. Most of the communities had several of such roads opened up for them to enjoy the yuletide as the roads were linked to each other.
