RT HON CHINEDUM ORJI 2023: A VOTE FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND EMPOWERMENT

It was Kofi Annan, the Ghanaian Diplomat who posited that “young people should be at the forefront of global change and innovation. Empowered, they can be key agents for development and peace. If, however, they are left on society’s margins, the society will be impoverished.”

Annan’s opinion aligns with Chinedum Orji’s belief on creativity and human capital expansion and it’s nexus with youth development.

With the knowledge that almost all the sectors of the economy has to do with young people as drivers of both the economy and the government, Rt Hon Chinedum Orji is determined to positively exploit the energies of the youths.

He is a leader driven by conviction, exposure and commitment to transformation. He is service-oriented, compassionate and objective design thinker, whose public spiritedness blends with his divine call as a servant of God.

Endowed in pedigree, humility and reform mindedness to administer a growing and developing federal constituency like Ikwuano Umuahia, he will leverage on his exposure, development instinct to raise young people in businesses, carrier and industries.

As a corollary, the savvy entrepreneur has shown consistency, resilience and integrity in public life and his mastery in job creation, entrepreneurial and business development typifies a leader who won’t be caught unprepared.

His passion to invest in youth development doesn’t stem from his political aspiration, but an existing master plan for human capital development because he believes that youths have a role to play in the prosperity of the State and Nation. He has posited at various fora that the youths cannot be passive participants in the conversations about their future, rather, they must be actively involved and create their future the way they want it.

His representation will consolidate on the legacies and indelible footprints he has a Speaker and to achieve sustainable development for the benefits of the youths by ultimately reducing restiveness and joblessness.

In furtherance of his commitment towards producing economically viable youths, Rt Hon Chinedum Orji is proactively preparing the minds of the youths for greatness. He has a compelling story that resonates with Abia youths and that story has to do with rising from nothingness to aplenty, passing through the hurdles of life with rigor and with a sound belief that youths in the State can rise to greatness.

As a seasoned administrator who has managed human resources from nothing to a conglomerate, he understands what it means for someone not to have the needed grant to do business, and he understands what it means for someone to have the skills and not have the opportunity to put it to use. Chinedum Orji is keen on using these experiences to help young people discover their skills and also be contributors to the economy.

With amorous desire to embark on capacity building programmes for young people to increase productivity and ignite the spirit of enterprise among them, Chinedum Orji during a conference in the Ofeme women conference said: “Ikwuano Umuahia will be great through the number of jobs that will be created for the youths. Ikwuano Umuahia Youths will be great through the development of our mindset, skillset and the toolset. I strongly believe in supporting small and medium scale enterprises because it is a stimulant for the local economy.

“We will support entrepreneurship. We will support young men and women with skillsets. If you have a mindset and a skillset, I am here to provide the toolset that you need”

Indisputably, his penchant for entrepreneurial development makes him the right man for the job of Representing Ikwuano Umuahia in 2023.

From the forgoing, there is every gainsaying that a vote for Rt, Hon Chinedum Orji is a vote for human capital development in Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency.
